Scripture Cover

This may seem somewhat "juvenile," but I wanted to make a book cover for my scriptures. Every Sunday, they get thrown into my church bag with my other books I have to take to church. The corners on them were starting to wear and look haggard. I love my scriptures, and I didn't want them to break or ruin sooner than need be. I thought this was the best solution. The color is not my first pick but I love the way the cover turned out.

John Deere Girl Blanket

This was, by far, one of my favorite blankets to make just because it was John Deere. I had so much fun making this one for my friend Megan and her coming little girl. I have used this design before on a blanket for one of my nephews except I used blues and browns.
I LOVE it!

Baby Seat Cover

Even before Ryan was born, I had been wanting to make a seat cover for his car seat. I kept seeing all my friends with these really cool covers that either tie, button, or Velcro around the seat handle. Well, I kept looking for either a pattern or one that I could copy. Then I had Ryan early so I had the newborn adjustment. I FINALLY got around to making one this past week. Considering I was never actually able to see one up close or find a pattern, I am really really pleased with the way it turned out. For this one I used a light flannel since summer is slowly approaching in Idaho.

Here is my finished product.

For now, I just have it tied on. I did sew a button hole and I have cute buttons, but I just haven't decided which way I like better yet.

Baby Blanket-Reversible

Another one of my favorite things to do to pass my time away, is to make blankets. I LOVE sewing blankets and experimenting with styles and patterns. I NEVER use a set pattern. I sketch out something on paper, and then cut it out and sew it. Simple as that. This is one area I consider myself creative. Here is a reversible baby blanket I made for my second son that we are expecting.

The one side is a solid cream and a blue plaid print. The other side is sky blue solid and a horse print.

I think that it is adorable.
